Nursing Home – Weekly services are held at Westminster Retirement Community for its residents. Ministry lead is Bob Wright. Emergency Winter Shelter – Supplies such as water, non-perishable food, and clothing are delivered to this for the homeless literally living in the woods of our community. Ministry lead is Michael Edwards. Hilda Barg Homeless Shelter – Meals are provided to the residents on regularly scheduled basis by our ministry team. Ministry lead is Trisha Christian. Juvenile Detention Center - Our ministry holds weekly services with the residents who are all minors. Ministry lead is Jeff Heim. Note: We are in need of new lead for this ministry. Prison – Our ministry team holds biweekly worship services for the inmates of the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. Ministry lead is Herman Forbes Health Care – Provides health care education, blood pressure screenings, and several workshops throughout the year. Ministry lead is Linda Pierce. Single Mothers Fellowship – Provides a weekly Bible study along with emotional and practical support. Ministry lead is Deacon Avonelle Letang. Birthmothers – Birthmother Ministries, Inc. (Birthmothers) is a Christian, nonprofit, volunteer-based, para-church organization dedicated to providing nonjudgmental assistance to any woman facing an unplanned pregnancy. Birthmothers help a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy overcome barrier to choosing life for her baby and facilitate adoption when a woman concludes it is in the best interest of her child. Birthmothers identifies, trains, equips and nurtures volunteer “Friends” to provide caring, nonjudgmental assistance for pregnant women and their partners — regardless of age, race, religion, income or marital status. Our sole focus is on loving and helping the pregnant woman, providing one-on-one relational support and resource education she needs to reach well-informed decisions about her pregnancy. Ministry lead is Corrie Warren. Angel Food Network – Provides the opportunity for financial relief by enabling families to purchase groceries at a fraction of their normal costs. Ministry lead is Jane Brooks. Senior Adult Ministry – Establishing a community of fellowship and service among the mature members of the congregation. Ministry lead is Leon Harper. Hospital Visitation – A team of prayer warriors who minister to those admitted to hospital care. Ministry lead is Harold Moore. Iron Sharpens Iron Men’s Ministry – The fellowship and service ministry for the men of Christ Chapel. Ministry lead is Deacon Reggie Terry. Heart to Hand Women’s Ministry - The fellowship and service ministry for the women of Christ Chapel. Ministry lead is Donna Fullerton. Care Ministry – This ministry serves the congregation during our Sunday worship services by greeting, receiving visitors, and tending to need of the congregation as they arise. Ministry lead is Elder Harold Moore. Usher Ministry – Serves the congregation during our worships services by maintaining a reverent and comfortable atmosphere within the sanctuary. Ministry lead is Bruce Thomas. Prayer Ministry – Leads in intercession and ministry at the altar during our worship services and beyond. Ministry lead is Deacon James Hunt. Divorce Recovery – Dedicated to walking with those who are going through a divorce. Note: We are in need of new lead for this ministry. Benevolence – Financial assistance for those crisis situations. Ministry lead is Pastor Sam Vargas. Christ over Cancer - Dedicated to walking with those who are dealing themselves or within their family. Ministry lead is Gloria Moore.
