Sunday Children’s Church: 8:30 and 11:00 AM services ~ K-5th Grade
SUNDAY K.I.D.S. CHURCH ~ (Kids In Divine Service) Take your
children directly to the GYM when you arrive for the 11:00 a.m. service.

In K.I.D.S. Church, children, ages 6 - 11, participate in an interactive
service of music, games, drama, and object lessons to make the
truths of God’s Word come alive.  Through discussion sessions and
targeted prayer times, each child is challenged and encouraged to
not only be hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word.
KIDS
CHURCH
:  The first Sunday of every month is BGMC Sunday.  A
special mission theme is planned for that day. See more info below!
A Special Note from Pastor Audrea:

Inside every child is a promise, the promise of the possibility to be a world changer, a
Kingdom builder.  At Christ Chapel, we are Empowering the Next Generation through
dynamic programs to see the promise in every child fulfilled.  Touching the lives of nearly
300 children a week, our goal is to reach kids with the Gospel, teach them how to live for
Christ, and unleash them to impact their world.

With ministry available to children from birth to 12 year olds, it is our hope that every
family will take advantage of the various ministry groups available to assist them in raising
their children for Christ.

Parents and others are also welcome to become apart of this exciting ministry department.

God’s Word is center stage in Kids Church each week
through the games, dramas, and fun of our Big City Studio
lessons.

Kids Church takes place every Sunday morning during the 8:
30 and 11:00 a.m. services.  Designed for Kindergarten
through 5th Graders, Kids Church provides children the
opportunity to encounter God on their level.

And it’s double the fun during our 11:00 a.m. service as we
begin with live worship with our Kids Church praise band!

NOTE:  Bring your children directly into the gym for second
service.
Our Nurseries have a two-fold purpose of  providing quality childcare in an environment
that is inviting and safe as well as supporting parents in their efforts to form the
foundations of Christian faith in their children.

Our ministry team is primarily made up of moms and dads who know that through
loving relationships and enjoyable Bible learning through the use of music, play and
prayer even infants and toddlers can be reached for Christ.

I encourage you to take the time to familiarize yourself with our policies and procedures,
along with getting to know the people to whom you are entrusting your child.  Become
an active participant in seeing not only your own son or daughter find their way to Jesus
but prayerfully even the other boys and girls that fill the room. Together we can see even
our youngest members raised up to live for Christ.
GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Your child should be signed in and assigned a number in case you need to be
    contacted for any reason.
  • Parents please return the number ID given to you when you pick up your child
    from the nursery.
  • All personal items belonging to the child must have a name tag on them.
(i.e. diaper bags, sippy cups, blankets, etc.)
  • Parents please let us know if your child has any special needs or areas of
concern that will help us better care for your child. (i.e. Food allergies)
The Nursery and Preschool Department work best when all parents participate in the
ministry.  So we ask that every family serve in a classroom at least once every eight
weeks.   When we all come together to serve in this ministry the children receive the
blessing of our love and care.

Illness Policy

Our Policy regarding accepting sick children in our nursery for all church functions
is as follows:

A child should not be taken from the home when any of the following exist,
nor will they be accepted in the nursery.

Vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours
Symptoms of a contagious disease  (i.e. chick pox, soar throat, coughing)
Any unexplained rash
Head lice
Bleeding

General Health Guidelines:

•        Cover your cough/sneeze (Cough/sneeze into your arm, not your hands)
•        Wash your hands frequently
•        If you have a fever, stay home for at least 24 hrs after that fever has ended
•        Get a vaccine when it becomes available
--From
www.flu.gov

The nursery staff is not permitted to give any type of medication to a child. For the health and well being of the children and
nursery staff the Preschool and Nursery Coordinator reserves the right to make the final decision as to whether a child should
remain in the  classroom.

Nursery/Preschool Guidelines:

  • Get vaccinated against the flu: The H1N1 vaccine will be available for free for children and adults up to age 24 beginning
    in late September.
  • Stay home when sick: Children and caregivers with flu-like illness should remain at home and away from others until at
least 24 hours after they are free of fever (100° F [37.8° C] or greater when measured orally), or signs of a fever, without
    the use of fever-reducing medications.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water when possible; keep hands away from your nose, mouth, and eyes; and
cover noses and mouths with a tissue when coughing or sneezing (or a shirt sleeve or elbow if no tissue is available). For
children with emerging self-care skills, parents and caregivers should closely monitor their respiratory etiquette and hand
hygiene and remind children not to share cups or eating utensils.
  • Visit: www.cdc.gov/cleanhands  for more information on hand hygiene and www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/covercough.htm
for more information on respiratory etiquette.
  • We encourage early treatment for children at high risk for flu complications: Parents, we encourage you to talk with your
health care provider to determine if you or a member of your family are at high risk for flu complications.
  • Children less than 5 years of age are at increased risk of complications from influenza (flu); the risk is greater among
children less than 2 years old. Importantly, infants less than 6 months of age represent a particularly vulnerable group
because they are too young to receive the seasonal or 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine; as a result, individuals responsible
for caring for these children constitute a high-priority group for early vaccination.
