orship & Fine Arts

Christ Chapel's Music and Fine Arts Ministry consists of
dedicated artists and musicians who have determined to
utilize their God-given talents to minister to our Lord.
We endeavour to fulfill the three-fold purpose of
music in the church:

Praise and Worship - ministry to the Lord
Edification - ministry to one another
Evangelism - ministry to the world

Through music, both vocal and instrumental, drama and
eventually all the arts, we seek to touch people with the
love and life of Jesus. Why not consider how you can
become involved?

No experience necessary.  Just come!
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

As God gives us the endurances
and the encouragement to walk
each day with Him in spirit and in
truth, we, the Worship and Fine
Arts Ministry, will be a ministry of
unity, which strives to encourage
and edify the body of Christ
through the arts. As we follow
Jesus Christ, we will walk as one
heart and voice which glorifies
our God and the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
We will accept one another as
Christ accepted us in order to
bring praise to God and make
each area of ministry an altar of
worship.
We will be men and women of
God who consistently allow the
Holy Spirit and Word of God
guide us as we lead the body of
Christ in the Arts.
We will be a people of purpose
with a calling to lead others into
the presence of God - which is
true praise and worship.

"May my prayer be set before you
like incense; may the lifting up of
my hands be like the evening
sacrifice."
~ Ps. 141:2

Profile of the Worship and Fine Arts Ministry

As a member of The Worship and Fine Arts Ministry, there are certain qualities and attributes
that one must possess in order for the ministry to move forward in the work that God has called
the entire team to do.

1.  Live a Christian life (Romans 12)

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy
and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of
this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve
what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

2. Know that God has called to this ministry (Isaiah 41:8-10)

“But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I
took you from the ends of the earth; from its farthest corners I called you.  I said, 'You are my servant'; I
have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I
am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

3.  Be Faithful ( Joshua 24:14-15; 1 Samuel 12:24)

“But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he
has done for you.”

4.  Be Committed ( 1 Kings 8:60-61)

“So that all the peoples of the earth may know that the LORD is God and that there is no other.  But
your hearts must be fully committed to the LORD our God, to live by his decrees and obey his
commands, as at this time."

5.  Be Humble (Romans 12:3)

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you
ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has
given you.”

6.   Be a Servant (Mark 9:35; 1 Peter 2:15-16)

“Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last,
and the servant of all.”
